# Of Readers

This is a tricky situation, where amount of copies distributed has nothing to do with number of people per family reading each copy.
When some of our competition claims that a certain number of people per family is reading each of their distributed copies, they are assuming that every single copy is picked up from their racks. This is not necessarily correct. A publication becomes successful when its popularity gets to a point where a high percentage of the distributed copies are picked up by readers every time they are distributed.

I don’t want to give you just numbers; I also want to guarantee you that between 95% and 97% of our magazines are really picked up by our readers. Something that doesn’t happen with our competitors.
Getting back to numbers, I can tell you that assuming 4 to 5 people per family will always find a reason to have our magazine in their hands. Our readership goes from 75,000 to 95,000 readers every 2 weeks. Our distribution includes the whole Kansas City Metropolitan area.
